Cat Health

By law in NSW, cats have to be registered with your local council before 4 months of age, with a substantial discount in fees if your cat is desexed, we recommend desexing before you register your cat.

Desexing for cats are routine operations for both males and females. With females, they have a full general anesthetic as we do an ovariohysterectomy, and they sometimes need slightly longer to recover compared to males (where we only remove the testicles under heavy anaesthetic sedation and a local anaesthetic block).

Our nurses and vets are happy to answer any questions you may have in particular about your cat’s procedure.
